Mark Duane Dixon was born in Cleveland, Ohio on June 9, 1957, to Barbara Jean Dixon-Adams(deceased). Mark was raised in Chattaroy, WVA by his great-grand parents Claude (deceased) and Willie Mae(deceased) South.
Mark graduated from Williamson High School in Williamson, WVA where he was a star Basketball player. He majored in Psychology at Morris Harvey College (aka University of Charleston) in Charleston, WVA where he met his wife, Nancy Marie Webb.
He returned to Cleveland and worked at the Cleveland Clinic in the patient transport department where he retired as a work lead after 38 years in 2021. Mark also worked for 20 years at United Dairy Farmers as an assistant store manager.
Mark was blessed to have a son, Jamaal Brandon; and daughter, Brandy Hunter; whom he loved with all his heart.
He was most known for his love of music and had a collection of cd’s and vinyl’s well exceeding 10,000 units.
Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Jean Dixon- Adams; great grandparents, Claude and Willie Mae South; grandparents, Oscar and Bernice Finley; brother, Michael Dixon; Cousin Donald South; sister Kimberly Walker; brother-in-law, Larry Webb and special friend Gloria Jean Hunter. He leaves behind his wife Nancy Marie (Webb) Dixon, his son Jamaal Brandon, his daughter Brandy Hunter, his granddaughter Samari Harris; brothers James Harris Jr., Reginald Oscar Harris, brother-in-law William H. Webb Jr; stepson and stepdaughter, Khem Wright and Khala Wright, aunts and uncles; Deborah Finley, Robert Cunningham, Rev Alan and Vanessa Banks, Arthur and Zanetta Killing, LaTonya Finley and a whole host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
