Mark S. Seymour II, 46, of Canton, Ohio, passed away on February 20, 2026, in Canton, Ohio.
Born on March 13, 1979, to Mark and Michele Seymour, Mark was a beloved son, father, brother, artist, and friend whose presence left a lasting imprint on everyone who knew him. He was raised with a foundation of faith and a knowledge of Christ that remained a guiding presence throughout his life.
Mark attended Timken High School in Canton, Ohio, and continued his education at Kent State University. Throughout his life, he explored different paths, but his favorite profession was that of a truck driver. Driving gave Mark something he valued deeply – freedom. It allowed him to navigate the open road, see new places, and experience the world on his own terms. The highway was more than a job; it was a reflection of his independent spirit.
Mark made his home not only in Ohio, but also in Georgia and Oklahoma at different seasons of his life. In each place, he formed genuine friendships and left a mark that extended far beyond state lines.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charles and Aleta Seymour; his maternal grandparents, John and Maggie Chambers; his Aunts Jerilyn Seymour, Gail Seymour, and Myra Chambers; and his cherished four-legged companion, King Gotti.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving parents, Mark and Michele Seymour. He also leaves his lifelong friend, Larry Dubose, with whom he shared a deep passion for art, life, and Wu-Tang – a brotherhood rooted in creativity, culture, and authenticity.
Mark leaves his greatest masterpieces – his children: Markus Seymour, Mariah Seymour, MaKaylynn Seymour, Marcellus Seymour, and Epic Seymour. His love for his children was evident to all who knew him; they were his pride, his joy, and his legacy.
He is also survived by his beloved little brother, Marlon (LaRae) Seymour; his cherished little sister, Malea Seymour; his cousin and friend, Michael Seymour; his doting uncle, Charles Seymour; his Uncle Michael; his friend, Shawna Becker; and his Aunt Andrea (Sissy) Seymour, who faithfully kept him covered in love and prayer. He further leaves his Aunt Cheryl (Jessie) McDaniel; his cousin, Lamarr (Tiffany) Chambers; and his Aunt Charlotte Rae Chambers, whom he affectionately called his “Rae” of sunshine.
Mark’s family extended beyond bloodlines. He was embraced and fostered with love, faith, and promise by the Early family, who poured into him with God’s guidance and hope for his future, strengthening his spiritual foundation and reminding him of God’s covering over his life.
Creativity was woven into the fabric of who Mark was. He was a gifted artist who could take a simple pencil and blank sheet of paper and transform it into something extraordinary. His imagination flowed effortlessly through his hands. Art was not just something he did – it was who he was.
Mark leaves a host of nieces, nephews, colleagues, and treasured friends who will miss him deeply.
Though his time here feels far too short, Mark’s legacy lives on – in his children, in his art, in the friendships he nurtured, and in the love he gave so freely.
We find comfort in knowing that his life rests in God’s eternal care.
