Markisha Renee Harris, 41, of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away on April 25, 2026. She was born on April 22, 1985, in Cleveland, Ohio, to her loving parents, Katrina Y. Harris and Tyrone Tuthill.
Markisha was known for her strength, compassion, and sense of humor. She worked in healthcare and touched many lives through her kindness and care.
Markisha enjoyed doing hair, listening to music, and spending quality time with her nieces and nephews. She also loved being with her friends, dancing, creating funny TikToks, and playing Candy Crush.
Markisha had a heart that knew no limits. She was a giving person who loved deeply and without hesitation. It didn’t matter if you were family, a friend, or even a stranger—if you needed her, she showed up. She had a way of making people feel seen, cared for, and important, often putting others before herself without a second thought.
She loved fiercely and loyally. Once you were in her heart, you were there for life. She was protective of the people she loved and stood ten toes down for them, no matter the situation. Her strength wasn’t just in how she carried herself, but in how she lifted others up when they needed it most.
Markisha had a beautiful spirit and a sense of humor that could light up any room. She could make you laugh even on your worst days, and her presence alone brought comfort and peace. She was the kind of person you could count on—real, genuine, and always there.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory her parents, Katrina Y. Harris and Tyrone Tuthill; her daughter, Kyesha Pempton; her cherished grandson, Michael Pempton; her siblings, Ibe Cobb, Deron Price, Derrick Harris, Dion Harris, Desmond Harris, DeShauna Price, Desiree Price, Tyrone Tuthill Jr., and Tevin Harris; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who loved her deeply.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents and other beloved family members, including her grandmother Patricia Harris, Grandma Elleen Tuthill, Aunt Florica Holloway, Uncle Dana Tuthill, and her cousin Rodrick Burton, who welcomed her home.
Her kindness, her love, and her selflessness are the things that will never be forgotten. She gave so much of herself to others, and that love will continue to live on in every life she touched.
