On the serene afternoon of Tuesday, June 13, 2023, Marva Bernice Sudberry peacefully departed this world, embraced by the loving presence of her adored children. With tender grace, she was escorted to the gates of heaven by her dear departed loved ones.
Marva, the youngest among six daughters, Charlene White, Juanita Linston (Richard), Marion Leak, Geneva Terry, and Alicia Tate, was born to Robert Jewel Higgins and Vivian Cassandra (Williams) Higgins on March 8, 1939, in Cleveland, Ohio. She was blessed with the gift of motherhood, nurturing Lavell, Norris (Annette), Sabrina, and Saladin Sudberry as her children.
As the revered matriarch of her family, Marva was known for her unwavering protection and unbreakable loyalty. While dedicating herself to the Cleveland City Water Department, she cherished every moment of her free time with her beloved ones. Marva and her daughter, Sabrina embarked on thrilling adventures, exploring the world as avid travelers.
Marva’s treasured memory is carried on by her children; surviving sister, Charlene White, and grandchildren, Salina Sutton (Jeremy), Alanna, Andrea, Lavell, Nathan, Alyssa Sudberry, and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
We will forever commemorate her remarkable legacy through her mesmerizing eyes, indomitable spirit, and vibrant personality.
