Marvin Louis Pervall passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026, at the age of 79. Marvin was a beloved brother, husband, uncle, step-father, and grandfather. He was also a dedicated city employee, and proud veteran.

Marvin was born on October 13, 1946, in Wheeling, West Virginia, to Bennie and Lillian Pervall, both of whom preceded him in death. Marvin lived in Akron for much of his adult life. He worked with Akron City Planning and Urban Development. Marvin loved to build things and work with his hands. Marvin practically invented the term man cave where he appreciated a good western movie and a heartpounding football game. He enjoyed estate sales, Spider solitaire, and he was rarely seen without a fishing pole. Marvin also had a soft spot for children and puppies.

Marvin was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Pervall of Akron, Ohio; his son, Marvin L. Pervall II of Akron, Ohio; his wife, Lee Pervall of Akron, Ohio; and his step-daughter Pamela Chubner of Trenton, Michigan. Marvin is survived by his sisters, step-daughter, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, his church community, and many friends too numerous to count. Marvin will be dearly missed by all.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at The House of The Lord, 1650 Diagonal Rd., Akron, OH 44320.
