Marvin William Reid was born on January 31, 1952 to Osa Doc Reid and Gladys Reid in Cleveland, Ohio. Marvin attended Ramah Jr. Academy and later attended John F. Kennedy High School.
He joined the workforce and spent 40 years at the Cleveland Clinic Hospitals where he spread ongoing joy and laughter to the patients he encountered and his co-workers until his retirement, and the friendships continued long after. In later years he worked at First Energy Stadium (but only during the Browns season) and King David Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Marvin joined the Glenville Seventh Day Adventist church at an early age. In later years he joined the fellowship of the Southeast Seventh Day Adventist Church serving as a dedicated member of the Usher Board.
He was joined in matrimony to the late Oria Long. Marvin later married Cheryl Jackson of Youngstown, Ohio and was blessed with five bonus children; William David ,Nichelle, Kimberly and Kendall.
Marvin was a devoted and loving caregiver to his Dad (deceased) and most recently his Mom. He managed all appointments, along with frequent trips to Heinens and the Dollar Store (which he hated with a passion). He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend.
Marvin leaves to mourn his passing, his Mother Gladys Reid, siblings Michael (Donna); Duane (Marilyn); Marlene (Carl); bonus children William David, Nichelle (Sean); Kimberly; Kendall, Marquita, Anthony and grandchildren Kayla, Sean, Brooklyn, Noah, Josiah, Jacob and James; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.
