Mary A. Watson, 72, went home to be with the Lord on December 22, 2019, at home, after a short illness.  Born on February 14, 1947, in Akron, Ohio, she attended Central High and cosmetology school.  She enjoyed spending time with her three (3) favorite girls, Shatora, Crystal and Aliah.  She had a heart for helping people, as she helped many sick family members.

She also enjoyed traveling.  All you had to do was say, “Let’s go here or there” and she would say, “Okay, let’s go.”  Her favorite pastime was watching “Matlock” and “Murder, She Wrote” (on television), drinking Pepsi and smoking.

Mary was preceded in death by parents, Willie Lee and Julia Bell Oden; sisters, Vernetta Portis and Ernestine Parnell; brothers, Willie Alfred Oden and Willie Herman Oden.

She leaves to cherish her memory daughters, Crystal (Richard) Bailey and Shatora Watson; brothers, Thomas (Iris) Oden, Dwight (Sharon) Oden, both of California, Keith (June) Oden of Virginia; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Oden, Sarah A. Oden, and Louise Durant; brother-in-law, Leon Portis; her only granddaughter and buddy, Aliah Bailey and a host of family and friends.
