A faithful servant, Mary Clarice Head was born on June 17, 1929, in Chattanooga, Tennessee to the late William and Elizabeth Jarvis. She was the eldest of their four children.
Clarice moved north as a teenager and finished high school in Cleveland, Ohio. She attended nursing school in Cleveland and Indiana and began her career at the VA Hospital. She retired from Mt. Sinai Medical Center after serving as a nurse in the operating room for 41 years.
Clarice accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at New Bethlehem Baptist Church on May 19, 1946, by the late Rev. C. J. Thompson. She was a faithful member until her illness, serving on the Senior Usher Board, attending Sunday school, Bible Study, B.T.U. and volunteering for Vacation Bible school.
Clarice was a member of the Warrensville Senior Group. She enjoyed participating in the exercise classes at the center. She also loved traveling, shopping and spending quality time with family and friends.
Mary Clarice departed this life on October 7, 2022. Her parents, her sister, Barbara and two brothers, James and William Jr., all preceded her in death.
Left to cherish her memory, are a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and beloved friends.
“Auntie”, as she was so affectionately called, will be deeply missed, but the impact she made–will live forever in our hearts.
