My Aunt Mary is one of the most courageous, honest, loving, empathetic and real mama warrior souls you will ever know. She ALWAYS looked out for me. When I couldn't she could, and I didn't have to say a word. She just knew. There was a golden chord between us, she said. It kept us connected. She wanted me to know that I ALWAYS had someone...that I was never alone in anything I did. She supported my hopes and refined my dreams. We talked effortlessly and endlessly. We understood each other. She was always a formidable force of love in my life. When I was born, she said "that's my baby". I am. There's nothing I wouldn't do for her, but I wish I'd done so much more. She kept it SO real. You could count on her to tell you what you weren't ready to hear. Your growth was non-negotiable.
