Mary Frances Allen was born in Crawfordville, Georgia, to Harvey Peek Sr. and Mamie Love (Lowe) Peek. She grew up in Twinsburg, Ohio, where she attended school and later studied at Moody Bible Institute.
Mary had a deep love for God and was well-versed in the Bible. She was a devoted member of the Apostolic Church of Christ in Twinsburg, Ohio, and other faith communities. She often spoke about the greatness of God and found joy in nature, admiring His creation in the trees, leaves, and flowers.
Mary dedicated her life to helping others. She worked as a social worker at the Twinsburg (Heights) Community Center and as a preschool teacher, touching the lives of many children and families. She was an active member of the NAACP and the Political Action Committee (PAC), always striving to make a difference in her community.
Mary was a loving mother to Enrico (Danell) Allen, Scarlet Allen, and Pamala Allen. She was a proud Nana to Arianna, Caiden, Brielle, and Wade Hamilton IV. She also cherished her goddaughter, Andailai Clemon.
Her love for family was evident in everything she did. She adored her siblings—Velma Wilder, Daisy (Ronald) Walker, Bridie McMillian, Harvey (Susan) Peek Jr., Mary Love Peek, Ernestine (Terry) Young, Debbie (James) Butler, Howard (Tracy) Peek, Constance (Kenneth) Longmire, and Lisa Peek. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Betty March, and nieces Kimberly Shavers, Rhonda Jones, and Victoria Peek.
Mary had a generous heart and loved to cook, often preparing meals for family gatherings and community events. Every Thanksgiving, she cooked for the people of Twinsburg, making sure no one went without a warm meal.
She shared a deep love with Greg Smith, the love of her life.
Mary leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends who will forever cherish her kindness, faith, and unwavering love.
She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
