Garnetta, we were sadden by the news that Maurice had transitioned and he is now under the watchful eyes and care of our Heavenly Father. Our prayers for peace and comfort are with you. God's word tells us the he comforts the broken hearted, the weary souls and those crushed in spirit. Maurice is truly at peace and all his sorrow is of yesterday. I'm certain that Uncle Sam and Aunt Dean were right there to see him come on in. You will remain in our prayers and on our hearts...Humbly submitted by your loving family.

I’m very grateful that I had the chance to meet Maurice and call him a friend. In the few year that I knew him, he was one of the kindest, most genuine people I’d ever met.
