Meldon A. Chase II, affectionately known as “Melie” went home to be with the Lord on November 25, 2024. He was born on January 29, 1967, in Cleveland, Ohio to Meldon A. Chase Sr. and Ethel Chase, who both preceded him in death. Meldon was the youngest of four siblings.

Meldon loved the Lord and was a Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He was truly a God-fearing man, a loving husband, and father.

Meldon graduated from Warrensville Heights High School. He loved to play video games and was an avid Ohio State fan.

Meldon is survived by his wife of twenty years, Denise Chase, his two children Meldon Chase lll and Chantel Chase.

Meldon is also survived by his sisters: Ingrid Chase, Sonya Thompson and Leslie Buford. He was the uncle to a host of nieces and nephews.

Sending condolences to your family, hoping the beautiful memories you shared bring you comfort at this challenging time.

Sending love, prayers and light to the Chase family. I am saddened by this news.

It's such a shock to learn of Melly's passing. The Chase family was and is such a beautiful loving family. Growing up with the Chases at Glenville Church of God where their dad pastored are wonderful memories. Pastor and First Lady Chase were the sweetest people. They loved those around them and treated us (kids), who hovered around their kids, like family. That is what I always felt from them. Melly was the hilarious, "annoying" little brother who you always wanted around for his dry humor, sarcasm and common sense nuggets of wisdom that would have me rolling. The Walter and Doris Smith family loved the Chase family dearly. Those of us still here will be praying for you all. What a time they are having together now.

Love and blessings to my baby brother. All of my memories of our Good Times and Times of sharing, times of fun and laughter and times we spent together enjoying each other as brother and sister I will miss all those times together with you I thank God that he allowed me to have a brother for as long as I did but one thing I'm happy about that your Eternal home and rest is in the Lord I look forward to seeing you again in that Heavenly home that is bright and fair. I’m very sorry for your loss. I lived next door to the Chase family and I knew them very well. Mellie I’m so sorry you left this earth so soon . We will all miss you.

My deepest sympathy for the loss of your brother and loved one. Me and my sister Michelle lived next door to the chase family who was like an extended family to us. We played together and often had meals together. God bless, and wishing you and your family peace and comfort.

Remembering, Meldon, is put a smile on my face, He was the first person to show me real friendship (Meldon Chase, Brian Askew and William Harper). Also, he also on Saturday would be dribbling Basketball on 147th Street going to Glendale Park to play ball. My Condolences to you family and friends... This still does not seem real. Never in a million years did I ever image that I would be saying farewell. My baby brother I miss you. I am surrendered to our Heavenly Father's will. Until we meet again in glory. Love you, Melie.

I am truly going to miss you . We had some great basketball games, hanging out. A true friend. I can remember such fun times and will cherish every one. I will see you again my friend and this time it will be forever. Love you family
