Michael Anthony Timmons was born to Cora V. Bell and Richard Timmons on February 11, 1958, during the amazing Aurora of Northern Lights. The light dimmed for our beloved brother, father, and uncle on October 31, 2020.
Michael attended West Jr. High and John R. Buchtel High School, where he mastered horticulture and auto mechanics. At an early age, Michael was extremely artistic and creative, which carried on into adulthood.
Michael was gainfully employed with Acme-Click for fifteen years, and Gojo Industries for thirteen years. He also was employed with Cleveland Custom Painting for seven years. When that ended, he became self-employed doing home improvements. He was the “bomb” at what he did.
Michael loved, loved, loved, his Cleveland Browns and he made sure that every Sunday that he was either at his house or a siblings’ house to trash talk and watch the game. Michael also had a passion for the game pool. He was an avid pool player and he competed in tournaments throughout the city. He also had a love for cornhole and basketball. But what Michael loved the most was his family, whether it be his children, grandbabies, siblings, or nieces and nephews. He was extremely loyal and loved them all wholeheartedly. Michael had the biggest and kindest heart with a bright smile to match. Michael was well-loved and respected by his family and peers. His kind soul and spirit will be sorely missed by all.
Michael was preceded in death by his mother Cora V. Bell-Williams; father, Richard Timmons; and older brother, Wayne Lewis Bell.
Michael is survived by his only son Anthony Michael Goodson and fathered Nicole Anosike, Angelica Mathis, Keith, Charlyn Head, and Dustin Nikols; sisters, Carmen L. Timmons, Cathy M., and Charlene D. Williams; brothers, Burlin L., Alvin L., William Eddie, and Terry M. Williams; brother-in-law and friend, Michael Wiliams; longtime friends, William “Lumpty” Smith, Frankie Johnson, John Kaiser, Mimi Cash, Manwell McDowell, Carl Rice, Jessie Boware, and Calvin Carter, as well as, a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
