Michael was born on June 28, 1970, in Cleveland Ohio to the late Ruth Mae Owens. Michael attended Cleveland Public schools and graduated from John Hay High School in June of 1990. Michael was a self-taught plumber by trade. He worked for several plumbing companies around and near the Cleveland area and held multiple building maintenance jobs.
Michael accepted Christ at a young age and attended The Assembly Missionary Baptist Church. Michael loved cooking either on the grill or on the stove, fishing on the dock or on his boat. He loved watching movies and sitting in his car while listening to all types of music. Michael was the life of the party. He was always laughing or cracking jokes. He loved playing with Max, his grand pup, who he called, “skinny mane.”
Michael loved teaching others about plumbing, cooking, or just things he loved to do. He loved turning his hobbies or interests into trips. He would turn his fishing trips into 2- or 3-day excursions, by getting a hotel room to turn the outing into a journey of amazing memories. While Michael was on his boat, he loved listening to music, drinking coffee and catching some fish.
Michael was loved by many and will be missed deeply by all. He leaves behind 3 daughters (Latoya, Mariah, and Sanyale), a bonus daughter (Robyn), a mother in Love (Hazel), Lisa , his common-law wife, and the love of his life as they had remained together for the last 16 years, 2 brother in laws (Lloyd and Walter) and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles and friends to cherish his legacy.
