Michael Lamar Turneur went home to be with the Lord on November 6, 2019. He was born on December 24, 1957. He was born and raised in Akron, Ohio and was a graduate of South Senior High School.
Michael was an avid sports lover and a die-hard Browns, Cavaliers, and Indians fan. He was a loving and kind person and a caregiver at heart.
He was a long-time employee of Akron General Medical Center, a 2010 Home Health Aide Award recipient and for the past few years, a full-time caregiver for his wife.
Michael was a veteran and was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force after proudly serving his country.
Michael leaves to mourn his death his loving wife of over thirty-five years, Jeanette (Chapman) Turneur; adult children, Tamika Seay, Brandon Chapman, Natalie (Kelly) Jones and Latoya Seay. He is also survived by his parents, James and Natalia Turneur; siblings, James (Sharon) Foster, Marilyn Turneur, Myra (Tony) Moore, Mark (Evelyn) Turneur and Monica Turneur. Additionally, he leaves to cherish his memory his four grandchildren, Shaylah and Jerrell Jones, Lunden and LiAisha White; and special friend, Deforest Thomas, as well as a host of other family and friends.
