Michelle Renee Proctor (Harwell) was born August 5, 1964, in Cleveland Ohio to Parents Willie & Carol Harwell. She was the oldest of 3 daughters. She attended East Cleveland and Cleveland Heights public schools and graduated from Shaw High. She accepted Christ at an early age and attended Calvary Lutheran Church before she was baptized at Open Door Missionary Baptist Church. During her teen years she was a member of the NAACP Youth Council and was awarded for being an outstanding community leader.

Michelle worked 15 years for the Cleveland Heights School district. She later worked as a home health aide for United Care Team Homecare Services until she was unable to continue working. She was beloved by many of her clients. Michelle had three children, Sean, Ciara, and Ashley.

Michelle loved riding roller coasters, crossword puzzles, drinking Pepsi and watching Animal Planet. She was most proud of being able to take her children to Disney World in 1996 and her grandchildren in 2021.

Michelle was a fighter and she fought cancer until she couldn’t fight anymore. She departed this life on October 21, 2023. She leaves to mourn her memories three children: Sean Harwell, Ciara Proctor, and Ashley Proctor; grandchildren Moses Townsend and Miracle Townsend; parents Willie and Carol Harwell; sisters Kimberly Harwell and Sharon Crenshaw (Jerome); aunts Beverly Burst, Mary Dix, Pearl Allen (John), Dorothy Smith and Bessie Lee Harwell; uncles Uzell Harwell (Emma), Ernest Harwell; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Her beloved fiancé Lamar “Tony” Speights preceded her in death.
