Mildred Yvonne Davis, 79, went home to be with the Lord on September 18, 2020. She was born on August 4, 1941, and she was a lifelong resident of the city of Akron, OH. She was in 1957, a graduate of North High School at the age of 16.
After graduation, she immersed herself in work to provide for her family. She did so for over 50 years. Most of her time in the workforce was spent in the postal service where she was employed for over 43 years. During this time, she gave endless support to her family and friends. She had an enormous love for gardening and floral arrangements. That passion was matched by her curiosity and interest in history and technology.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Elsie Cobb; brother, Leslie Cobb, Sr.; and son Vincent Davis.
She is survived by her son, Wayne Davis; nephews, Leslie Cobb II and Lawrence Cobb, and many other relatives and friends.
