Monica Denise Cook, 56, of Cleveland, Ohio, unexpectedly passed away on August 21, 2026, at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus Hospital. Monica was born on July 31, 1970, in Cleveland, Ohio, where she was a lifelong resident.

She graduated from West Tech High School with the Class of 1988. Venturing off in the field of Parking Lot Attendant with the Cleveland Clinic Hospital.

Monica was known for her love of cooking and enjoyed karaoke to her favorite artist, Mary J. Blige. She was a loving person who brought joy to those around her. She also enjoyed traveling to amusement parks and to the Metropark Zoo and, most importantly, spending time with her loving family and friends.

Monica leaves to cherish her memory of her mother, Patricia Cook; father, Benjamin Davis Jr.; son, Desmond Burke; grandson, Desmond Burke Jr.

She is also survived by her twin sister, Monique Cook; Stefanie, Julia, and Larissa.

Brothers Eric Cook, Bejamin, Darius; nieces DoMonique Cook, Lexus Embry, Yai-Jahnee Lawler, Erica Cook, Erin Cook, Zahriyah Robinson, Reign Howze; nephews Eric Sibbley and Dionte Sibbley; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Monica was preceded in death by her grandmother, Mollie K. Cook; grandmother, Julia Davis; grandfather, Benjamin Davis Sr.; and sister, Benetta Jackson.

Monica will be lovingly remembered for her vibrant, fun personality and the joy she brought to her family and everyone who knew her, with her joyful singing and dancing.
