Adrian Bruce Adams (Weasel) was born December 1,1955 to the late Willie and Annie in Cleveland, Ohio. He graduated from East Tech and joined the military soon after. SGT Adams dedicated his life to the military for 24 years both serving in army and marines. He was a staff Sergeant SGT, culinary NCO and a supply Sergeant and a recruiter. He retired the first time after serving 24 years in the army in 1997. Adrian attended Cuyahoga Community College and The University of Akron majoring in Liberal Arts, Early Childhood Education, and receiving a bachelor’s degree in social work. While attending college Adrian was proud of his many accomplishments. He was a member of the Golden key honor society, He made the president and the Dean list, he was also Sum Cum Luada. He maintained 4.0 GPA the entire time. He was a lifetime member of the N.A.A.C.P.
He had various jobs just to name a few, Navy Federal building, Regional Divine family service and the headstart program. In June of 2021 he was proud of two things, he retired from the V.A. and paying off his home in less than 10 years.
In 1981 he received military orders to leave Cleveland and he moved his family to Akron, Ohio. Adrian has always been a family man. His family didn’t just consist of the children who called him dad. He loved his nieces and nephews and played a major role in their life growing up. He often spent many summers taking the children swimming, videotaping, playing trivial pursuit, playing rock teacher, toothpaste monster and just being an amazing uncle and dad. He enjoyed playing spades, domino, uno, backgammon and checkers. He loved playing basketball, goodwill shopping, telling corny jokes and he was always talking about God.
Now there were 3 things everyone should know about Weasel, He can sang, he was a flashy dresser, and that man loved free food. If you were cooking, he would tell you, “I’m on my way”
His Greatest accomplishment was his 4 children, Andrea (DeCarlos), Brentton, Adrianna, Nia. He has 4 grandchildren, Marquia, Canasia, Bre’ella, Brelynn, and one great granddaughter Narya. He has 2 bonus daughters La’Keyshia and Territa. He leaves to his memory’s, his girlfriend, Andrea Flynn (Connie). Also, the mother of children: Rachel, Wilma and Colana, and Connie. Rachel and Adrian a knew each other since they were kids and remained friends for over 50 years. Brothers, Artara and (Maria) Anthony and a host of nieces and nephew, family, and friends.
Proceeded in death by his brother Willie Jr. Vernard (Sheilah), Vivian (Willie) and bestfriend Ted.
Adrian was known for his words of wisdom and was willing to help anyone in need. Although he was a jokester, his advice was solid. He stood firm in his belief in God and was to willing share his knowledge with anyone. His presence made an impact and will be greatly missed.
