Sending our condolences to the Miller family and prayers for God's comforting love during this time of transition. I met Stanley during the tenure of D.S. Orlando Chaffee while serving the East Ohio Annual Conference. He was especially helpful over the years when community-based education for struggling students became a priority. May his legacy and spirit of service forever .inspire each of us.

I am so saddened to hear of Rev. Miller's passing. My prayers and well wishes to his family and friends. I got to know Rev. Miller while working as a Consultant to a Cleveland-based project. His advise to me was always impeccable and he was always introducing me to individuals to make my job easier. Though I only knew him for a brief number of years, my life was enriched by our encounters. I am grateful God created the opportunity for me to be blessed by getting to know Bro. Miller. He will be missed.
Jack and I send our condolences to your family. We worked with Stanley for years and are so sad to hear of his passing. He was a good friend and a great leader at Ohio Bell and Ameritech. His faith and strength will be missed by many. Jack and Jackie Woods

Dear Ronnie and Sons,
Rev. Stanley Miller was a dear friend and fellow minister. From the time I met him at the reception that Blacks in Management (BIM) held to welcome me to Cleveland back in 2009, to his membership on the Case Western Reserve University Supplier Diversity Initiative Council, I have known him to be a man of integrity who cared deeply about his family, his community and the cause of justice. He was so kind to attend my ordination celebration just last year and to have words of support about what it means to be in ministry and in service to God and our community. I could not get over how many leadership roles he had, but I know those roles were a testimony to how people trusted him to do the right thing, to do it with compassion, and to advocate for the least of these. As an educator, I could always count on him to be a non-stop advocate for young people and their right to the best education possible. When I sat beside him just two months ago at the funeral of Darryl Pittman, he reminded me that he had recently gotten training in the Grief Recovery Method, so we had yet another form of ministry in common of learning to be "a heart with ears," when people are grieving. He lived his faith in every organization in which he served. The Bible says "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints." ((Psalm 116:15). If ever there were a saint who would hear well done from the Lord, Rev. Stan is that man. I will miss him dearly because he was a true brother and friend.
May your memories of him be a blessing to you always.
TO THE FAMILY: So sorry to hear of Stanley's passing. Cling to one another and stay strong. I know he is at home with his mom (Idell). My prayers are with you all during this difficult time.
Dear Veronica, Stanley, Jr. & Steven & Miller Family,
Wishing you peace to bring comfort, courage to face the days ahead and loving memories to forever hold in your hearts. We are here to support you. Praying for all of you.

Dear Miller Family – Rev. Miller was an outstanding individual who cared about his family, his friends and our community. He was always positive and happy to see you. Rev Miller was unique and special, and I was lucky enough to call him my friend.
One of my favorite bible verses is Numbers 6: 24, 25, 26: May the Lord Bless thee and keep thee, May the Lord make his face shine upon thee and be gracious unto thee, May the Lord lift up His countenance upon thee and give thee peace. Amen. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
Stanley was truly a bright light; larger than life with a heart of compassion. Intelligent, funny, full of life and energy and insight. Dedicated to his family friends and the community at large, Stanley set a high bar and those of us who were able to know him and be blessed by his presence and kindness are the better for it. May you rest in peace my brother-in-law, and your loving family find comfort and healing. Amen.

No words can say how sorry we are at the passing of Stanley. We have all lost a part of our youth. What a great man , mentor & friend. Stay strong and where there are no words in the glossary of grief yo describe the pain of loss. God is our father and calls us His children.
We love you all Miller Family
Dear Family,
I have known Stanley, as a colleague and friend, since his important work with NAACP and the Marcus Garvey Charter School. During our conversations we often spoke about the writings of Rev. Howard Thurman.
Attached is my favorite that I discussed with Stanley over the years.
The Threads in My Hand
By The Reverend Howard Thurman
Only one end of the threads, I hold in my hand.
The threads go many ways, linking my life with other lives.
One thread comes from a life that is sick; it is taut with anguish
and always there is the lurking fear that the life will snap.
I hold it tenderly. I must not let it go ...
One thread comes from a high-flying kite;
it quivers with the mighty current of fierce and holy dreaming
invading the common day with far-off places and visions bright ...
One thread comes from the failing hands of an old, old friend.
Hardly aware am I of the moment when the tight line slackened
and there was nothing at all -- nothing ...
One thread is but a tangled mass that won't come right;
Mistakes, false starts; lost battles, angry words - a tangled mass;
I have tried so hard, but it won't come right ...
One thread is a strange thread - it is my steadying thread;
When I am lost, I pull it hard and find my way.
When I am saddened, I tighten my grip and gladness glides along its quivering path;
When the waste places of my spirit appear in arid confusion,
the thread becomes a channel of newness of life.
One thread is a strange thread - it is my steadying thread.
God's hand holds the other end ...
From Meditations of the Heart
My sincerest condolences to you and the Miller family. May his memory be for a blessing.
