Age 89. Better known as Loretta, drifted peacefully into a heavenly sleep on Thursday, December 9, 2021.

Loretta leaves the love of her life and best friend, husband of 58 years, James D. Prince (J.D.); brother, Oliver Edwards and many other beloved family members and friends.

Loretta was a very faithful member of Perfect Peace Baptist Church. She was also a loyal employee of the Cleveland Clinic for 53 years.

Loretta will be greatly missed, but she is home and at rest with Jesus, her Lord and Savior. All services have already taken place.

Mrs Prince , heart felt sympathy when I heard the news of your passing! My deepest condolenscene to your family! You will forever be a memory of love in my heart! You were a mother nurse , a mentor with words of encouragement and inspirations during my nursing career! God makes no mistake, you fulfilled your tasks here on earth, and you now are needed more in heaven than earth! May you continue to be a blessings and RIP!❤️

My first experience at the Cleveland Clinic was in the Summer of 1969, working with Loretta as her Administrative Coodinator on The 7 Central Pediatrics unit. She was The Head Nurse on the unit and helped indoctrinate me to CCF and Healthcare in general. It was the beginning of my 38 year career there. I will always remember her kind and gentle way.
