Robbie Jean Wilder was born July 29, 1951, to parents Robert and Janie M. Wilder in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Their family moved to Cleveland, Ohio when Robbie was 12 years old. She attended Cleveland Public Schools and graduated from John Adams High School in 1969. Robbie began her career as a Claims Adjuster. She worked as a Medical Claims Specialist for Traveler’s Insurance, the Cleveland Catholic Diocese and the Cleveland Clinic, where she retired after IO years of dedicated service.
Robbie met Willie J. Johnson, Jr. on a bus trip to Atlanta, Georgia and on June 18, 1985, they were married in Cleveland, Ohio. Together, they raised their blended family in Warrensville Heights, Ohio.
Anyone who knew Robbie knew the things she loved – her family and friends. She loved her pets. Throughout her adult years, she owned cats, dogs, fish, and Parakeets. She loved puzzles, cooking, music, especially Luther Vandross, dolphins, and Clydesdales horses. She loved her sports teams, especially the San Francisco 49ers. She enjoyed shopping and road trips and would often find the opportunity to combine the two. There was no such thing as a store or mall that was “too far”, as long as she had transportation, she would get there.
In 2004, Robbie dedicated her life and was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Robbie enjoyed sharing the Good News of God’s Kingdom with those she would meet, especially if she could do it working the Public Witnessing Cart. She continued as a faithful servant along side her mother and sister, Annette at the Euclid Park Congregation. She enjoyed being amongst her spiritual family and took every opportunity to engage in hospitality whenever she could, so much so that she organized annual bus trips to Bethel, Amish Country, Hayrides, and Hen Parties.
Robbie fell asleep in death on Tuesday, July I9, 2022, surrounded by family. Robbie was preceded in death by her father, Robert Wilder and granddog, Sidney K. Owens.
She leaves to mourn and cherish her memory Willie J. Johnson, Jr., her husband of 37 years, her children Kevin M. Jordan and Kesha R. Owens (Jamain), their father Robert Jordan, bonus son Nathaniel Johnson, mother, Janie M. Wilder and siblings, Linda J. Felder, Anderson L Wilder (Annette) and Annette M. Wilder, best friend of 60 years, Diane Lowe Fortson and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
