Myrtis Jackson, 94, of Sunflower, Mississippi passed away with her family by her bedside on August 31, 2023. Myrtis Jackson was born on September 28, 1928, to wonderful parents, Mr. Ed and Mrs. Rosa Johnson (deceased). She was known as, “Baby Sister” because she was the last-born child of twelve children. Myrtis attended school in Sunflower, MS until the eighth grade. At the age of 17, she married her husband, Charles Major Jackson (deceased) and relocated to Detroit, Michigan. To this union, nine children were born. In 1960, they relocated to Cleveland, OH.
Myrtis Jackson is preceded in death by her three sons: Charles M. Jackson Jr., Michael Jackson, Fredrick (Zella) B. Jackson and survived by her six children: Jimmy C. Jackson (Cynthia), Louise Palmore (Robert), Paulette Jackson, Pauline Wells (Noah), Robin Jackson, and DeZelle Stodghill (Kenny). Grand Children; Kevin Jackson, Carmeletha Ford, Kyle Farley, Derek W.
