Ned Johnson, Jr. passed away Saturday, December 24, 2018 after a short illness. He was born on May 24, 1959, in Dawson, Georgia.
Ned enlisted in the Army and served in the Korean War where he received the Bronze Star. Upon his return, he worked and retired from General Tire and the University of Akron.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ned and Jimmie Lee Johnson and 7 siblings.
Ned leaves behind his wife of 60 years, Marie and son Robert (Lisa) Johnson; brother, Oscar Gainer; grandchildren, Keven Kuzmik, Sahid Ahmad, Sasha (Dante) Roberts, Jasmine Johnson, Andrew Kuzmik and Robert M.Johnson, 22 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He leaves a host of nieces, nephews and in-laws, Arthur and Bernice Buck.
He will be dearly missed and cherished for his advice and supportive nature.
