Her Life…

Neida Thompson was born September 18, 1951, in Marshallville, Georgia to Susie Blue and the late L.V. Blue. She attended Akron Public Schools.  She was a member of the Arlington Church of God.  She was married to Eugene Thompson; the love of her life for the last 51-1/2 years.

Her Love…

She was so very proud of her work at Summa Care.  Her greatest love, however, was being at home with her family and helping them to succeed in any way she could.

Though she was very strong-willed and had no problems taking you to task if she thought you were wrong, Neida was an immensely kind-hearted person.

One of her keen interests was Macramé.  The last project she was working on was a swing-chair for her patio.  She not only worked with her hands, but Neida’s mind was always thinking about how to create and make life easier and better.  She had two inventive ideas that now someone else will bring to fruition.

Neida very much enjoyed meeting and talking to people and immensely treasured her true friends.

Her Legacy…

She was preceded in death by her father, and daughter, Eureka Denise Thompson.

She leaves to cherish her memory husband, Eugene Thompson; children, Charlotte Blue-King of Orlando, FL and Demetrious Thompson of Charlotte, NC; mother, Susie Blue; grandchildren, Antwanya, Jarmaine, Darshaun Thompson, Teray Anderson, Nyiema Lamont, Khala Lamont, and Zuri Thompson; great-grandchildren, Amaya Bryant, TeNaysia Anderson,  TeNiyah Anderson, and Dakota Roberts; sisters, Barbara (Henry) Cargill of Syracuse, NY, Linda Blue, Emma Benson and Judy Blue of Columbus, OH; brother, Elvert (Carol) Blue; sisters-in-law, Betty Jo, Annabelle, and Earline; niece, affectionately called “Neicy,” and other treasured friends and relatives too numerous to list.
