On Thursday, September 19, 2019, Nolan B. Shropshire gained his heavenly wings, at the age of 61. He was born on December 2, 1957 in Akron, Ohio to James and Shirley Shropshire.
He graduated in 1977 from John R Buchtel High School. He was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Sheridan M. Neal, in 1995.
Nolan enjoyed wrestling, but his passion was cooking. He loved to make spaghetti
and potato salad. He was a chef at many different restaurants over the years.
He also enjoyed playing guitar with his father’s group.
Nolan was preceded in death by his father, James Sr. and brother, Andre Shropshire; nephew, Raynard Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Sheridan Shropshire; four children: daughters, Nola, Liddia and Jade Shropshire; and son, Nolan Shropshire; granddaughter, Sirenity Guyton (the baby);
mother, Shirley Shropshire; brother, James Jr. (Gwendolyn) Shropshire; sister, Liddie Shropshire of Raleigh, NC; sister-in-law, Pamela Shropshire; uncle, Harold (Joyce) Head; father-in-law, Jethro (Frances) Neal; brother and sister-in-laws, Lonza (Marietta), Ella Neal, Vernia (Jeffrey) Johnson, Greg (Carolyn), Rickey (Kathy), Terry (Stefania), Delana , Jeffrey (Jazmar) Neal, Shawn (Rachelle) Barclay, Torrey Smith and William Keiffer; special niece, Destini Neal and host of other nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
