A lifelong Cleveland native and devout Catholic. Noreen Thomas (Dunn) was born on October 27, 1946, to Sarah Marie Dickson (mother) and Valentine Dunn (father). Noreen attended Jane Adams High School, from which she graduated in 1964. Noreen later attended Baldwin Wallace University, where she graduated with a bachelor’s in liberal arts degree, summa cum laude, in 2001.
Noreen Thomas was married to David Thomas (d. 2003) and had four children: Lance Thomas, David Thomas (d. 1984), Shinean Thomas, and Alchina Hooks (John Hooks).
Noreen spent most of her working career with Rockwell Automation as a manufacturing buyer for almost 20 years and retired in 2008. Noreen had many hobbies that included spending time with her family, playing computer games, watching movies, reading books, traveling to Vegas, collecting beanie babies, and rooting for the Cleveland Indians.
In addition to Lance and Shinean, Noreen is survived by her grandchildren: Asia Thomas, Lance Thomas Jr., Jamel Johnson, Kiara Brown, Jessica Walker, Javon Johnson, Tyler Maxey, Jaryl Maxey, Kalei Thomas, and Jaden Thomas.
Noreen was also loved by great-grandchildren, extended family, and the friends that she gathered over the years.
To know Noreen meant to know a phenomenal woman. A woman who loved her family, a woman who worked hard to support those around her, and a woman whose legacy and impact will always be felt and never forgotten. She was loved by many, and her memory will forever be cherished by those lucky enough to be called her friend and blessed enough to be a part of her family.
