Mrs. Noris Geneva (Coleman) Kendall, of Clarksville, Tennessee passed away on Sunday January 4, 2026, surrounded by love at Northwestern Rehab and Nursing Home in Berea, OH.
Noris Geneva Coleman was born from the Union of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Coleman and Mrs. Naomi (Hillman) Coleman on March 30, 1944. In Clarksville, Tennessee (Montgomery County).
Preceded in death by her sister’s Thelma and Jean Coleman, Parents Mr. Norman Coleman and Mrs. Naomi (Hillman) Coleman; brothers Norman Edward Coleman and James William Coleman; and Norman’s wife Mrs. Sandi (Tate) Coleman her sister-in-law.
At the early age of 12, Noris confessed Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at Spring Creek Baptist Church now Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Clarksville, Tennessee. Where she served faithfully and sung in the youth choir. Until her oldest sister Mrs. Sarah F. Hatcher sent for her to come to live with her in Cleveland, OH. Noris attended Burt High school in Clarksville, Tennessee. Where the Olympic Gold Medalist Wilma Rudolph graduated from. Before going to Cleveland, OH, Noris was employed at Broomfield Elementary School as a cook in the cafeteria she was an excellent cook and built a reputation on how good her food was throughout her life. After living in Cleveland, OH for a while she met the love of her life Douglas Kendall Sr. From that Union five children were born. Noris also works as a Nurse’s Aide for many years. A role that perfectly matched her compassionate heart. She cared for others with patience, kindness, and dignity, treating every person as if they were family. She was a housewife stay at home mom who reared her beloved children. Noris was a woman whose life was defined by love, faith, and selfless service to others. Her Children and grandchildren were the light of her life. She had a joyful spirit and many passions. She was a dedicated fan of Cleveland sports, especially the Cleveland Browns, Monsters, Cavaliers, and the Guardians. She loved creating and viewing art. Noris was truly a loving and devoted grandmother. She enjoyed road trips with her grandkids, watching the games with family, and overall being in the presence of those she held near and dear.
Above all else, Noris was passionate about being selfless and loving everyone. She believed everyone deserved to be treated with love and kindness as that is the way of the Lord. Noris Kendall will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her strength, her kindness, her faith in God, and the love she gave so freely to the world.
She is survived by her six children Anthony L. Coleman Sr., Charlotte, N.C.; Douglas Kendall Jr.; Cleveland, OH; Micheal Kendall, Cleveland, OH; Craig Kendall, Cleveland, OH; LaTonya Kendall, Cleveland, OH and Mario Kendall, Cleveland, OH. And her two sisters Mrs. Sarah F. (Coleman) Hatcher, Berea, OH; Ms. Carolyn Coleman (Ellis) 5 grandchildren Rain Kendall; Jason Pope Jr; Anthony Coleman Jr; Kiara Caldwell; Trenyce Speed; grandson Maxwell Kendall; Great Grandchildren a host of relatives and friends.
