Born on June 27, 2000, Octavia was a radiant light in the lives of her family and friends. Despite facing the challenges of blindness, she never allowed her disability to define her. Octavia graduated from Euclid High School in 2018 as a distinguished honor student and a proud member of the National Honor Society, achieving straight A’s throughout her academic career. Her dedication to her studies was a testament to her intelligence and perseverance, inspiring many peers along the way.
From an early age, Octavia dedicated her life to Jesus Christ, accepting Him as her Lord and Savior. Her faith was a guiding force in her life, shaping her into the compassionate and loving person she became. Known for her infectious laughter and generous spirit, Octavia had a unique ability to touch the hearts of everyone she met, leaving a lasting impression on all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Octavia’s journey of education began at Lake Erie College, where she flourished until mobility challenges emerged. Despite these obstacles, her unwavering passion for learning remained a defining aspect of her life. She found solace and joy in reading, often losing herself in the pages of her favorite books on her Braille note. Laughter was also a cherished companion; she delighted in watching every Madea movie ever made, finding joy in the humor and heart of their stories. A lover of simple pleasures, Octavia savored her favorite dish, orange chicken, and embraced all things pink, reflecting her vibrant spirit and zest for life.
Octavia is survived by her loving mother, Lecretia Bolden; her sisters, Alivia Foster and Aaliyah Walker; her grandparents, Alfred Bolden and Darlene Bolden; her aunt Latasha Osborn; her uncle Roland Osborn IV; her cousins, Roland Osborn V and Ryland Osborn; as well as her great-grandparents and a multitude of family members who adored her.
Her kindness, compassion, and unwavering strength will be remembered and cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Octavia’s legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched with her generosity and love. She was a pillar of strength for her family and a friend to many, embodying the spirit of resilience and hope in the face of adversity.
