Betty Jennings left a message on May 23, 2022:
For almost 2 years in Cleveland, Ohio, we met in a group which subsequently was called “The Circle of Love”. Oria was apart of that circle and that’s where Pastor Jennings and I met her. Each Thursday evening we met, read the Word, prayed, cried, laughed and loved together. God brought us together for such a wonderful time. I will forever remember those very precious moments and cherish the day that God put Oria, Wanda and so many others in that circle to grow in Him. We are praying for the family.

Beth Pawson left a message on May 20, 2022:
In striving for some peace and understanding during this difficult time it is crucial to remember that we are living in a fallen world where for divine purposes.... our pursuit of godliness will be tested and tried again and again. Of greatest assurance in God's plan is that a Savior was promised, a Redeemer, who through our faith in Him would lift us triumphantly over those tests and trials, even though the cost to do so would be unfathomable for both the Father who sent Him and the only Begotten Son who came. It is only an appreciation of this divine love that will make our own lesser suffering... first bearable, then understandable, and finally redemptive. May the peace that comes from the memories of love shared...comfort you now and in the days ahead. You are my family. sis Beth

The love Oria shared will always be in our hearts and her lovely smile we will remember when we think of her. The first time I introduced O as my sister, she said, "I'm not her sister by birth, but..." she never got to finish that sentence because I popped her on her head??? and said, "You're as much my sister as those born to our mother!! Don't you EVER attempt to explain again because it's nobody's business!!!!" That was over 40 years ago, and she never did again. I loved ? ♥️ her with all my heart. She was beautiful, always smiling, and I loved to hear her laugh. She NEVER, EVER lied to me. She was open and honest about herself and about me. She didn't gossip; she never spoke a harsh word about anyone in my presence. No!!! I'm not saying she was perfect. She had her faults and imperfections to overcome, but those were between her and God, and I loved her, regardless, just as she loved me with mine. I will miss our honest and deep conversations, our disagreements and our verbal battles...they were always in love, and we ended them with prayer.? I will not grieve because she would not want me to, nor do I want to. I am angry ? because the enemy of our souls brought death. God never meant this to be, but through Christ He provided eternal life to all those who would trust Him and serve Him in loving obedience. Therefore, I can smile? and rejoice because I believe my sister and I and countless others "shall soon behold Him face to face." To our family, I say, "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Look up!! For our redemption draweth nigh."??????

Dear Family, Please accept my heartfelt condolence on the loss of your precious beloved one. Having known Oria since we were in our teens and maintaining a close sister-like relationship with her throughout all the years of our adult lives, her passing leaves an emptiness beyond words. My memories of her are endless. She was much more than a friend, but one whom I claimed as my sister. I could always depend on her unbiased, Godly wisdom whenever I felt a need to share something of concern. A woman who loved Jesus with all her heart, she demonstrated and shared that love with all whom she met. As grown adults, when I and most of my seven siblings gradually left the home of our youth in Cleveland, Ohio and moved back to the place of our birth in North Carolina, I shall always remember with great fondness Oria's decision to leave Cleveland and establish her home in North Carolina, also. We continued our friendship individually and as a family enjoying leisure time with one another, as well as working closely together in the Reidsville church. She never shied away from the work of the Lord, but used her many God-given gifts for the building of His Kingdom. I shall sorely miss my sister, but I look forward to that "great day"............ "And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away." Revelation 21:4
