With a sad heart I am announcing the passing of my oldest son, Orlandis M Dunn. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on January 4, 1974, to his mother, Norma Dunn, deceased, and father, Willie Dunn.
Born kicking his way into the world, Orlandis never crawled, he stood up and started walking at seven months old and has been walking on his own two feet ever since. Orlandis accepted Jesus Christ at an early age at Bethal Baptist Church in Cleveland Heights, Ohio under Pastor Mike. At the age of six, he had a squirrel for a pet, but that did not last long, as I put a stop to that and got him a dog. Landy taught himself how to drive at the age of 12 by taking my car at 3am in the morning along with his little brother Will. Just a few years later, he outrebounded me beating me in one game forcing me to step up my game. Throughout his time in school, he kept me in the principal’s office and in the Dean’s office once he got to college.
Orlandis graduated from Shaw High School and attended Alabama A & M University studying Journalism. From there, he served in the US Navy for four years, then worked at the United States Postal Ofiice for many years after that. Aside from working at the postal service, Orlandis enjoyed riding motorcycles and loved classic cars. He cherished his family and friends.
Orlandis departed the life on December 23, 2023. He leaves to cherish his memory, his 4 children, Orlandis Jr., (27), Cleveland, Ohio, and Jordan, Jada, and Jaylinn from Houston, Texas. His 4 siblings: 2 brothers, Will Jr. and Quinton, Cleveland, Ohio; 2 sisters: Alanna and Sharhonda, Cleveland, Ohio. His father, Willie Dunn, longtime friend, and many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
