Otress Dowell Fielder was born June 5, 1931 in Camp Hill Alabama to Iotress and Lela Mae Fielder. He was the oldest of 5 children. Annie, Palmer, and Donald preceded him in death.
At an early age he and his family relocated to Chattanooga, Tennessee. There, he dedicated his life to Christ at Mount Paran Baptist Church. He attended Chattanooga Avenue Elementary School, Calvin Donaldson Junior High School, and was a proud alumni of Howard High School.
At the age of 18 he moved to Cleveland, Ohio in search of employment. He joined St. Timothy Baptist Church and continued his quest for the Good Life through Christ.
For the first few years in Cleveland he worked for Chevrolet at an assembly factory. He left Chevy in search of a better job. After working several small jobs, he later was employed by Ultra Metal Manufacturing for over 35 years. The plant closed and Otress retired. Retirement was not for him as he sought and found employment with Tops, Finest, and Dave’s Supermarket. His health declined and yet once again, he had to find a job. He started his own business and became an on demand infamous Jitney for Dave’s Supermarket. His switchboard operator and private secretary was none other than the love of his life. Lucile. In 1955 he met “the prettiest girl this side of heaven”. They married and from this union were born Terri T. and Sherrae, his pride and joy. The things Otress loved to do were to manicure the lawn, feed the birds and squirrels, grow tomatoes (that he liked giving away) and collecting coins. He will always be remembered for the way he protected his family, loved Lucile and his sense of humor.
He leaves to cherish his memories wife of  68 years, Lucile, Daughters Terri T. Woodson and Sherrae Flowe (Steven). Grandchildren Mark J. Woodson (Brittany) Matthew Woodson, and Shannon B. Flowe Great Grandchildren Chloe Noel Woodson, Mark-Leslie Burgess, and Capri Joy Woodson, Brother Ananias Fielder, Nieces Pamela Fielder and Vickie Thornhill, Nephew Anthony Fielder (Michelle). two special cousins Marlene and Lorene Eggleston, In Laws Michael Poindexter (Frances), Jacquelyn Poindexter. Larry Poindexter (Minnie), Ronald Poindexter (Louisiana) and a host of family and friends.
