Pamela Marie (Ford) Vinson went home to be with the Lord on May 1, 2020.  She battled illness for many years and is now at peace.  She was born on September 14, 1949, to parents John and Anita.

She graduated from Buchtel High School in 1967 and remained a dedicated Griffin throughout her life.  She attended the University of Akron after high school and went on to a career in the clerical field.

She was married to Carl Vinson. Although the two divorced, they remained lifelong friends.  She was a wonderful mother to her two daughters and son, always making sure to involve herself in every activity they participated in. She enjoyed going to the beach, there was something about the sand and the sun which she found soothing.  She was also an avid reader, crocheted constantly, and had a lifelong love of music.

Pamela was preceded in death by her father, John, and her grandparents.

She is survived by her children Wednesday (Luis) Scherer, Cari Vinson (George Jacobs), and Brandon Vinson, her two grandsons Tariq and Miles, her mother Anita, sisters Debbie, Vicki and Laura as well as numerous family and close friends.
