To my neighbors and friends, Elder Henry and Sister Gwendolyn Lewis and Family, Please know that loving thoughts and prayers go out to each of you as you grieve the loss of your dear sweet, caring and wonderful Mother Lewis. Indeed, she was the epitonomy of what Proverbs 31 describes as a "Virtuous Woman." May you find comfort in knowing that Mother Lewis will always hold a place in your hearts. Praying for the family. Deacon Jacqueline Thomason

Francine Jordan left a message on July 7, 2024:
Miss Lewis and my mother (Cellie Mae Tyler) were the best of friends. I grew up with her children. She was a holy, kind, and gentle person just like my mother. When my mother passed I kept in touch with her by phone (even though I lived out of town), and she was always so happy to hear from me, but mysteriously I lost her number and could not find her through the internet because I thought her first name was Pauthene instead of Parthenia. I send my condolences to her family because she will be missed very much by me and my family. Rest In Peace Miss Lewis. Francine Jordan

May the God of all comfort, surround you all with His peace and bring you solace in the midst of your grief. I am grateful for Mother Lewis’s kind loving heart and how she always made me feel welcome at church. Mother Lewis and the Mothers Board visiting my home in the 90’s demonstrated pure Godly love, kindness & support! “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 Peace Love & Blessings Always, Ericka Burney-Hawkins

My prayers and condolence to the Lewis family in God receiving Mother Lewis Into his presence. May the blessing of her impression upon the lives of those who knew her, inspire them to live a holy and separated life to God, as she did. May the comfort and strength of God support the family and friends for days to come.
