He was born May 6, 1948, to Leonard E. Law, Sr. and Dorothy M. Law. He graduated from Buchtel High School in 1966. He attended and graduated from Moody Bible Institute with an Associate’s Degree.
Leonard accepted Christ at an early age. He grew up at Hill’s Temple under the leadership of Bishop Oscar Hill. He was called into the ministry in 1967. Leonard pastored at Temple of Love Church in Warren, OH prior to starting his own church, The New Jerusalem Interdenominational Church of Christ, where he pastored for 16 years. He also sold insurance for 47 years.
Leonard married Mary Lee Hill in 1967. They were married for 51 years. From this marriage, he was blessed with two sons and six grandchildren.
Leonard loved the Lord and cherished the Word of God. He loved to sing and participated in several singing groups. He loved working around the house and beautifying his home.
Leonard was preceded in death by his father, Leonard E. Law Sr.; brother, Harold Law, and grandson, Brandon Law.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lee Law; mother Dorothy M. Law, sons, Leonard III (Kim) and Maurice (Robbin) Law; grandchildren, Taylor (Ryan) Slown, Christopher Law, Vanessa Stillings, Tatiana Law and Mariah Law; siblings, Inyiwe Kbyii, Beverly A. Johnson, Edith H. Rice, David A. Law, Ronald L. (Shirley) Law, Jeffrey (Delana) Law, Anthony R. (Patricia) Law, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
