It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Melvin Louis Carlock Sr., who left this world on April 27, 2026. Born on February 9, 1948, in Memphis, Tennessee, Melvin was a devoted husband, skilled heavy equipment operator, and a cherished member of the Cleveland community.

Melvin resided in Cleveland, Ohio. He was a man of strength and integrity, known for his work ethic and commitment to his family and friends. A graduate with a high school diploma, Melvin’s hands built more than just machines; they built relationships that would last a lifetime.

In honoring his life and memory, funeral services will be held at the Greater Works Church of God in Christ on May 9, 2026, at 10:00 AM. Prior to the service, a wake will take place at the same location starting at 9:30 AM to allow friends and family to pay their respects. A public viewing will be held on May 8, 2026, at New Life Christian Center Church from 4:00 PM.

Following the service, Melvin will be laid to rest at Evergreen Memorial Park, located at 5505 Northfield Road, Bedford, OH 44146, in a burial ceremony scheduled for May 9, 2026. At this time, the specific circumstances surrounding his passing remain under investigation.
