Patrice Ann Ellis passed away on December 23, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and devotion to family. Born on July 4, 1950, to parents Charles and Corrine Ellis. She was one of six siblings, whom proceeded her in death: Constance, Barbara, Charles Jr, Ronald and Gregory. She graduated from East Tech High School in 1968.
Patrice dedicated years of her professional life to Ohio Bell then onto Lucent Technology where she built a strong work ethic and lasting pride in her career before retiring in 1999. She later returned to the workforce at Quicken Loans Arena (now Rocket Arena). There, she made a lasting impact, forming meaningful relationships that extended beyond the workplace.
She was a devoted mother to her two children, Kayla and Errica, with Ned Hunter. She was also a cherished grandmother to six grandchildren-Sidney III, Erica, Charron, Ronnie Jr., Passion, and Lavelle-and a loving great-grandmother to eight great-grandchildren. Patrice shared an especially close bond with her niece, Charlotte, who was more like a sister to her. Their relationship was built on tons of love, loyalty, laughs, and a lifetime of shared memories. She also leaves behind an abundance of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Patrice lived a life marked by care for others, dedication, and deep family bonds.
She will be remembered for her wit, resilience, and the unconditional love she gave to her family and friends. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on through cherished memories with all who were blessed to know her.
