Patricia Ann Rogers passed away Saturday, February 10, 2018.
Patricia Ann (Crenshaw) Rogers, affectionately known as Pat, was born March 14, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois to Annie Hunt. She was raised by her mama and daddy, Annie Maude Miller and Baker Miller in Greenville, Alabama. At the age of eighteen, Pat moved to Akron, OH.
Pat’s first joy was with Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority (AMHA). She later worked for Terex General Motors and retired from Ohio Edison in 2013.
While working at AMHA, Pat was introduced to Tony Rogers by Doris Lindsey, a matchmaker extraordinaire. Tony and Pat were married on September 14, 1974. When one saw Tony, one saw Pat. When one saw Pat, one saw Tony. Every Friday was date night at the movies. They were inseparable for 43 years.
Pat loved people. If you needed the comfort of a shoulder or a listening ear, Pat was available. She stayed in touch with family and friends. Daily Pat reached out and touched family and friends via her telephone. She also absolutely loved to shop!!
Pat was preceded in death by her mama and daddy, Annie Maude Miller and Baker Miller, her son, baby boy, Michael Anthony, and her father-in-love, Carl Rogers, Sr.
Pat leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband of 43 years, Tony; her mother, Annie Hunt (Joun-deceased); sisters, Sandra Ollison, Pam (Don) Jackson, Marie Ollison Harper and Tina Bewley; brothers, Tony Ollison and Ernest Bewley, all of Akron, OH; cousin-sister, Claudette (Leon) Truitt and cousin-brother, Leroy Miller of Greenville, AL; mother-in-love, Vernice Rogers and brother-in-love, Carl (Ricque) Rogers, Jr. of Akron, OH; aunt, Lula Griffin of Greenville, AL; special friends, Elizabeth Poole, Lois Peagler of Detroit, MI and Jackie McMillan Smith of Akron, OH and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
