Dear Family and Friends,

Receive my peace. It is God’s continual gift to you. To receive His gift of me, sit quietly in God’s presence, trusting Him in every area of your life.

I just had a birthday! Born in Cleveland, Ohio, September 12, 1945. Now, I am 81 years old. My parents, Henry Felder and Annie Mae (Maudear) Gilchrist-Felder, were from Montgomery, AL. You know, I was the youngest child of five siblings. You remember! –Essie, Allen, Clyde Felder Sr., and Mary Helen (a.k.a. Bonnie), all who preceded me in death.

During the 60’s, education was very important. During my time at John Hay High School, a Cleveland Metropolitan City School, I was selected Salutatorian upon my graduation of my class. I would have gotten Valedictorian but another student received it by 1 vote!

After graduation I worked for the United States Postal Service for 35 plus years. Much of that time, I was a supervisor. My sister Bonnie and I both worked at the post office downtown.

If you are not aware, I was a longtime member and treasurer of the historical Friendship Baptist Church, located at East 55 Street and Central Avenue; sadly, it recently went up in flames. I also donated my time, talent and treasures with my family, friends and outside charitable organizations.

Motherdear, (a.k.a Maudear) was either under my room or always nearby. She is the main one along with Essie who taught me how to cook. Remember those delicious meals you ate! And do not forget my fashion statements. I was a sharp dresser! From the crown of my head to my stylish shoes, I looked good, if I may say so myself.

Remember family and friends, to ALL my nieces and nephews and cousins, I love you. Remember the peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.
