Patricia Ann Rutledge Valentine (Surname) “Pat” was born on March 10, 1936 In Bessemer, Alabama. Her parents Robert Ruledge Sr. and Ruth Rutledge preceded her In death. Patricia was one of five children, born to bless her parents, four siblings preceded her In death.

Patricia grew up in a small town in Bessemer, Alabama called Shade Valley with 350 people. She attended the Shade Valley grade school from 1st thru 5th grade. Raimund Junior High 7th thru 8th grade. Muscoda Jr. High 9th thru 10th grade and she graduated from Wenonah High School.

Patricia accepted Christ at an ear1y age and was Baptist at New Jerusalem Baptist Church In Bessemer, Alabama

In 1958 “Pat” relocated to Cleveland, Ohio where she lived with her childhood friend Lillye Mahone. She joined the Hayes Temple Church of God In Christ Church.

In 1959 “Pat” met and Married the love of her life Plymouth Valentine. She united with the New Galilee Baptist Church and served as a faithful chartered member, a Deaconess and choir member for 60 plus years until her health began to decline.

Patricia was Employed at the Cleveland Schools System as well as Hopkins Airport. She worked at Case Western Reserve as a Supervisor under the leadership of Mr. Joe Cooper for 30 years, until she retired In 2010.

Patricia hobbies were yard sales and planning trips to the Amish Country where she well planned each trip every year. She was always about family and she was a great cook and baker and would feed everybody. She was the neighborhood mom because all the kids would be at her house.

Patricia made her transition to her final resting place on Friday, December 12, 2025 at 10:15 p.m. at home. She leaves to cherish her memories by her Five (5) children Alfred, Stanley, Steve, Cynthia and Felecia Valentine of Cleveland, Ohio One (1) and only Sister in law Addie Robinson Valentine of Cleveland, Ohio One(1) Brother in law Melvin Valentine of Coldwater, Mississippi, Sixteen (16) grandchildren Shundra Young of Memphis, Tennessee, Antonio Croff of Cleveland Ohio, Laquita McNeil of Memphis, Tennessee, Janelle Valentine of Santan Vally, Arizona, Dinnissa Blackmon, Kinyetta Valentine, Tachea Bell, Nicko Valentine of Cleveland, Ohio, Felicita Laspesa of Revere, Massachusetts, Stanley Browder of Cleveland, Ohio, Genevieve Valentine of Houston Texas, Shauntia Taylor, Myeasha Valentine, Brandl Valentine, Alisha Boyce of Cleveland, Ohio, Genesis Valentine of Manhattan, New York and her Goddaughter Rosalind Ratchford. She had many great grandkids and great great grandkids and a host of nephews, nieces family and friends.
