Patricia J. Carter was born to the late Emma Carter Irvine and Robert Williams on August 31, 1949. She would go on to graduate from South High School and enter Holy Matrimony with the late Michael Greer Sr. Of that union, two beautiful children (Michelle and Miguel) would be born.

Patty, as she was affectionately known, developed a passion for singing and music as she participated in her high school chorus and sang praises in the church choir. Patty would go on to write music and assist church choirs in developing. Patty also had a passion for sewing and worked many years for Polar Products. She later began working independently taking on sewing projects for organizations such as church drill teams, alterations, and tailor-made outfits.

Patty would later relocate to Greensboro, NC where she began working in healthcare. There she would go on to begin a union with the late Benjamin McCray, to which two beautiful sons (Dee and Da’E) were born.

Patty loved her mother dearly and would later relocate back to Akron, Ohio to help take care of her during her ailing health. Therefore, her children were determined that her final resting place be with her mother, the late Emma Irvine.

Patty was proceeded in death by her mother Emma and stepfather Carl Irvine, as well as her father Robert Williams Sr., Brothers Karlos Irvine, Robert Williams Jr and David Williams.

Patty leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter Michelle Greer-Harris, Sons, Miguel Greer, Diangelo McCray, and Da’Emmanuelo McCray. Sisters Barbara Bagley and Kyra Elton (Tommy), Brothers David Carter Sr and Michael Irvine Sr. (Alyssia), and Burnell Williams. Grandchildren, Lemiqua, LeQuella, Lemuel Jr, Zhaquondalee’, Zhamarea, Miguel II, Zhamia, Martino, and Lemia. Great grandchildren- Zyheir, Anthony Jr, Tatiyana, Zoey, Taelynn, and Angelina. Great great granddaughter- Zyla. A host of Neice’s, Nephews Special daughters, Aiesha, Sharee, Kat, and Joy. Special son Lemuel Sr. Special Sisters, Denise, Carole and Betty. Special brothers, David, Paul, Duncan, and Chris.
