Patricia Faye Jones went home to be with the Lord on February 19, 2026. She was born on July 31, 1952, in Birmingham, Alabama, to Elder Isaac and Thelma Jones. She later made her home in Akron, Ohio, where she attended Garfield High School.
Affectionately known as “Pat” or “PT,” Patricia was a woman full of personality, strength, and heart. She was a wonderful cook whose meals brought comfort and joy to many. She was an avid bingo player, loved playing cards—especially with her sister and favorite card partner—and enjoyed trying her luck with the lottery. Known for her playful spirit, Patricia could “trash talk” with the best of them and always kept things lively.
Patricia meant what she said and said what she meant. She was not one to be taken lightly. She told it like it was, and her honesty—sometimes bold, always real—was one of the many ways she showed her love and care. Although she did not drive, that never stopped her; she always found a way to get wherever she needed to be.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved son, Dewey Jones; her brother, Isaac Jones II; and her sister and card partner, Wanda Bell.
Patricia leaves to cherish her memory her children: Anissa (James Iverson), Nekita Jones, and Errick Jones; her brother, Isaac L. Jones III; her sisters, Lisa (Bennie Ragland), Alethea (Isaac Randolph), and Amanda Jones; along with 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends.
Patricia may have faced hardships throughout her life, but those experiences shaped her strength, resilience, and unwavering love. In the end, to know her was to love her—and she loved unconditionally.
