Patricia Ann Malone, born on November 25, 1962, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Herbert Lee Malone (d.) and Ruby Katherine (Wyckoff) (d.) was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She was the person others naturally gravitated towards, always ready to listen and make everyone feel special. Whether it was playing hide-and-seek with her youngest great-niece or offering a comforting hand, Pat had a unique way of making people feel valued and loved.
Her home was the heart of family gatherings, from holidays to Sunday dinners. Pat’s impeccable style made her a fashion icon among her family and friends, inspiring many to raid her closet and admire her shoe collection.
After graduating from East High School, Pat pursued her Associates degree at Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C) and her Bachelor’s degree from University of Phoenix. She served in the Army Reserves for eight years and later worked 23 years as a license examiner with the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles, where her stories from the day’s exams brought laughter and prayer for safety from her family and friends.
Patricia’s passing has left a profound void, and her memory lives on in the countless lives she touched. Her expressions of joy, laughter, and even annoyance are cherished by those who knew her. Her presence could light up any room, and will be deeply missed, though the love and warmth she shared will continue to guide us.
She is survived by her siblings: Renee Whiteside (Rufus – d.), Annette Malone-Grair (Joseph), Paulette Malone-Reed (Tyrone – d.), Derrick Malone (Cassandra), David Wyckoff-Malone (Lori), and Sheila Malone (Mark Crawford – d.); her nieces and nephew: Arnetta, Belinda (Kimberly), Koy (Phillip), Jamika, Shawnice, Shante, David Jr., and Lynette; her cousin/honorary niece: Commaleta (Gary Collins); great-nieces: Ya Arries, Ja’Khaya, and Zuri; and a host of friends and family.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have supported them during this difficult time. Patricia’s legacy of fashion, shopping, love, and joy will forever enrich our lives.
