On this glorious day, we celebrate the Homegoing of Pauline Jones.  On Wednesday, March 28, 2018, she transitioned from this earthly body to a Heavenly Angel.

Mrs. Jones was born on May 14, 1940, to the late Jackson and Myrtle Slappy.  She was born and resided in Akron her entire life. She attended Akron Public Schools and graduated from South High School.

Mrs. Jones played the piano and organ for several Akron churches and various gospel groups.  One of those churches was Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church where she met and fell in love with and married the man of her dreams, Curry Jones.

Pauline was preceded in death by her husband Curry Jones, parents Jackson, and Myrtle; sister Geraldine (John); brother, Willie Slappy; stepdaughter, Belinda (Roosevelt); stepson, Larnell; granddaughter, Ashley Nicole Smith.

Pauline leaves to cherish her legacy sons, Antonio (Gloria) Smith and Marvin Smith both of Akron, OH ; stepchildren, Terry Jones of Canton, OH, Vanessa (Wallace) Karim, Van Jones both of Akron, Julie (Edward) Mack of Philadelphia, Juliet Shreve of Akron, OH; beloved godbrother Reggie, she also leaves numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
