Peola A. Smith was born in Akron Ohio April 2, 1936. She lived mainly in the Akron Ohio area and in various other cities for the 83 years of her life. She worked later in life for Family & Children Services of Akron Ohio. She was married to Albert B. Smith until his death. She was a devoted mother who had 12 children and raised them on her own.
She was a beautiful soul and a caring loving mother who raised and took care of her grandchildren when she was needed. She was always there for them and stepped up with the help of God to whatever challenged her in life. She loved her family dearly and would do anything for them and anything for any family members. She was devoted to her friends and eager to help any strangers who were in need. She had a kind loving and giving heart towards all. She was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church Akron Ohio early in life and attended various other churches in her lifetime. She joined and is currently a member of Good Hope Baptist Church Akron, Ohio. She was always a tither and true believer in God.
She is preceded in death by husband Albert B. Smith, and Daughters Lerneva Smith, Nelcine Smith and Son Alfred Smith. Also preceded in death by Father Grant and Mother Minnie Wimbley and Also preceded in death by Grandfather John W. Flowers and Grandmother Irene Cox Flowers. Also, a special mention of her 2 aunts Ann Strickland, Lillie Frederick and 3 uncles Issac Flowers, Melvin Flowers and John Flowers who also preceded her in death all of whom she loved dearly.
She leaves to mourn her passing Daughters Vicki Flowers (Roy) Cummins of Georgia, Vernell Carter (Tony Carter deceased) of Lansing Michigan, Darlene Smith of Akron, Ohio. Sons Michael Flowers of Chicago Ill, Albert Smith Jr (Son Decarlos Smith deceased) of Lansing Michigan, Sanford Smith of Kentucky, Bernard Smith of Oklahoma, Vendell Smith of Akron Ohio and Jesse Smith of Akron Ohio. She also leaves to mourn her 19 special Grand Children and 40 special Great Grand
Children, 2 Special Great-Great Grandchildren along with a host of other relatives and special friends.
She planted the seed that sparked the root that gpreaded these branches. This is her wonderful legacy.
