Phillip Lamar Bogan passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2018.
Phillip was born on November 28, 1960, in Akron, Ohio and graduated from South High School where he wrestled and ran track. Known for his humor and James Brown impersonations, Phillip was always the life of the party. He loved to dance, listen to “down home” blues, and 80’s R&B. Phillip was employed at Harry Scrap Yard for over 20 years where he put his heart into his work and was willing to assist all who entered the yard for service. Phillip took pride in any job assignment he accepted. He loved painting, home restorations, yard work and, most of all, he cherished his garden.
Phillip was preceded in death by his brother, Arthur Bogan (Mickey) and his grandparents, Richard and Hessie Bucey. He leaves to cherish his memories; mother, Betty Joseph; step-father, Robert Joseph; sisters, La-Shawn and Misty (Abraham); ex-wife, Sandra Bogan; son, Phillip Jr. and daughters, Tiffanie and Tonisha; grandchildren, Adonis and Takaila; nephews, Timothy, Isaiah and Azaan; nieces, Tonciauna and Briauna; great-nephews, Carter and Khalil; friend, Ramona; one uncle and a host of aunts, cousins, relatives and friends.
