Phyllis A. Campbell-Beasley, 58, was called to rest on September 30, 2020, after a long illness.
She was born in Akron, Ohio, on November 29, 1961. She attended Akron Public Schools and worked as a Certified Nurse’s Aide for over 30 years for the sick and elderly. Phyllis was known for her patience and gentle touch and was often told that she could take care of a person like Job. She was a unique person and if you were lucky enough to be her friend, it was real and genuine because she was very particular. Phyllis was a member of Prince of Peace Baptist Church, under Pastor Timothy Wagner, where she also served in the choir, and also, she supported the church in various departments.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bobby Campbell I, and her grandparents, Nathan and Evelyn Carswell and Willie Ruth Campbell-Melvin and James Melvin.
She is survived by her loving mother, Evelyn Campbell; her three loving sons, Deancy (Tymica) Campbell, Dustin Melton, and Gregory Beasley; brothers, Sterling Campbell, Bobby II (Treneice) Campbell, and Nathan Campbell; sister, Toka (Jack) Walters; a close and special friend, Vivian Calhoun; loving aunts, Beverly Sylla, Carolyn Davis, and Marietta Carswell; close family friend, Monica Burney.
