Phyllis Elaine Gaiter was the first born of five children on April 1, 1947, in Cleveland, Ohio to John and Mary Williams.
Phyllis was educated in the Cleveland Public School system and graduated from John Adams High School in 1965.
Phyllis worked at The May Co. during the early 1970’s and then for JC Penney’s during the early 1980’s until 2017 when she retired.
Phyllis met David, they fell in love and married on August 18, 1979. To this union two sons were born, Davin and Kadeem. They would later all move to Pittsburgh, PA in 1986.
Phyllis enjoyed sewing and gardening. It didn’t matter whether it was flowers or vegetables, she loved working in her gardens. She also loved going to the movies and especially watching scary movies on television. She grew to enjoy her sports partly because of her husband and sons. You could find her on some Sunday’s watching the Browns or Steelers and the Cavaliers.
On December 18, 2022, Phyllis said good bye to this life peacefully surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary, and her brother, Kenny.
Phyllis leaves behind to celebrate her life her husband David, two sons, Davin and Kadeem all of Pittsburgh, PA; brother, Warren Williams of Cleveland, OH; two sisters, Constance Williams and Carol Williams both of Cleveland, OH. She leaves to carry on her legacy her grandchildren, Arie, Nadia, Mila, and Levi. To cherish her memories she leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
