Queen Ward was born in Cleveland Ohio, to the union of Jamie Fryer and Surdell Cowart on May 2, 1951.
Queen attended John Hay High School where she graduated with a high school diploma. Queen met the love of her life and was married to Thomas Ward on November 15, 1969. From this union three children were born. One daughter Sharon Ward, and two sons Thomas Ward IV and Michael Ward. Queen and Thomas were married for 54 years.
Queen worked for many years as the administrator of a home healthcare agency. When she wasn’t working, she volunteered at the Cleveland Food Bank.
Queen was an avid reader. She enjoyed murder mysteries and love stories. She loved to cook for her family. She was a dog lover as well. She went for walks every day in her neighborhood with her huge Cain Corso. Everyone in her neighborhood knew her and her dog. Queen loved her family with all her heart. If you mentioned to her that you wanted something, the very next day she would present it to you. If she heard about someone who was in need, she would make sure to fulfill that need. Queen was one of ten siblings and she spoke with her living siblings every day. Queen was very devoted to her family. She deeply loved her husband, her children, her grandchildren, and her great grandchildren. She always put their needs ahead of her own.
Queen was preceded in death by her parents Jamie Fryer and Surdell Fryer, two of her sisters, Sharon Fryer and Rosie (Judy) Price and her beloved son Michael Ward.
Queen leaves to cherish her memory, husband Thomas Ward, daughter Sharon Ward, son Thomas Ward IV , grandchildren, Leroy Millsape, Armando Tatum, Briana Ward , Khalyl Wadley , Ashley Dubose, Michael Ward jr, Mya Ward , Dylan Ward , Kai Deloach , Misean Ward , Landyn Cyphert . Seven Great grandchildren. Two brothers Jamie Fryer II, John Fryer and five sisters, Jessie Thomas, Betty Anderson, Anna Fryer, Barbara Marshall and Deborah Davis and a host of nieces and nephews.
