Queen Esther Hill was born on April 8, 1954, to Lilly Mahone and the late, Thomas Marlowe. She was the third child to this union. Queen and her six siblings grew up in Akron, Ohio where she attended Akron Public Schools. Upon receiving her GED, Queen entered the medical field and worked as a nursing assistant.
In her free time, she enjoyed playing bingo and bowling. Family was everything to her, she spent time with them attending barbeques, going to amusement parks and camping in the cabins. One of the most fond memories with her family was going to Atlantic City where she gambled and enjoyed time with her loved ones.
Queen is preceded in death by her brothers, Cecil Murkins, and Curtis Marlowe; stepfather, Joseph Mahone; nieces, Reneice Toomer and Nichole Marlowe.
Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Mrs. Lilly Mahone; one brother, Dennis Marlowe of New Castle, PA; sisters, Sharon Gary of Columbia, SC, Regina Smith of Akron, OH, and Alberta Dean (Danny) of New Castle, PA; and goddaughter, My’Aisia Mahone-Ray; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
